The movie Prides a great movie about how a group of poor African American boys start a swim team. They are discriminated against but they have the will power to keep going and swimming. Their coach is a great man who was a swimmer in high school but always got treated different because he was black and understands what his swimmers are going through and how much it takes in them to keep going. The swimmers were always messing around and never took anything seriously until they realized what they were doing after their first meet when they came in last. I think it is very unfair on how they are treated during their first meet. No person black or white should be discriminated against because of their skin color, only the way they act. They started to place in a lot of their meets after they started training and stopped messing around. Then when it was all coming together 3 men came in and started wrecking the whole place and when their coach seen them doing it he almost got arrested for beating them all up. The coach suspended himself for setting example for his swimmers. The teams captain coached them during the last meet and they ended up winning it. The coach changed a lot of things by having an all black swimming team. When he knew they would face a lot of problems they worked through them and kept on going. There was a lot of discrimination back then against black people, and I think it is very unfair just because of someone's skin color. Nobody should ever have to go through what that swim team and their coach went through. Pride is a great movie and I think anyone with the opportunity to watch it should.
